Another intermittent problem I'm having is that the TV starts up without picture, then a shutdown and re-start is required, always sorts the problem.
I've also experienced this! Although I always assumed I just pressed a wrong button on the Beo4...
It seems to happen

I tried a product called Innovus RAOne Smartdimmer. It works just like a LC2, responding to Beolink 1000, Beo4 etc. Only thing is it emits a soft, high-pitched whine when on. Only available in 240V. Leo

Sorry to be late to the discussion but this happened to my BV10-40 twice. Both were within a few days of each other sometime in May. It has not happened since. I don't know how to check the firmware number but it was from spring 2010. Around the same time another issue surfaced: there are split second cuts in the audio. Weird. Leo

Extremely cool and futuristic. I assume it could have run off batteries? Would have been a great complement to the Beosound 3! Leo

Thanks Lausvi. The SmartDimmers are a good alternative, and much cheaper. The only other things I'd need are some upconverters and 240V bulbs. I think I'll get some! Leo

Hi, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but today one of my two LC1's developed the same fault! Ie., it responds on-off to touch, but nothing from the remote. Lausvi (if you're still around), any suggestions? Or anyone? This particular LC1 I bought off eBay two years ago, and it ran lamps no stronger than a 60W load. For the past few months it

Regarding having Full-HD on smaller screens, for some people that can really be useful. I often hook up my laptop to my TV's and run them either in dual-monitor mode or single-monitor mode. The BV10-40 is great as its 1920x1080 resolution allows much detail. On the BV8-32, its lower 1280x720 resolution is a limiting factor. When I use my TV's

It certainly puts out a very big sound considering its modest power output! (BeoSound 2000 is what they call the Century in the USA) Re. the stupid review: What a joke, a "Top 27 reviewer"... I'm sorry for all the people his fictional opinionated drivel has misled. Leo
