Does anybody know if this will be offered in the US? My dealer insists it will not, but I think he just wants me to buy something now vs. later. Stan
Stan, your dealer is unfortunately correct. There is no current plan to release the BeoVision 8-40 here in the US. As far as 40" options, we will get the BeoVision

It's going to be a way to connect the iPod to a BeoSystem 3 (or other video platform) with an on-screen menu for browsing its audio and video content. It will only be a peripheral. No ML. No Speakers. Nice low price, though.

We've heard nothing about its potential demise, and I would imagine it may outlive the BeoSound 4 & BeoSound 3200 and possibly the BeoCenter 2. A new box? a two-way remote? 10%
I don't mean to step on any sheep toes, but there will be a dock for an iPod that will, as it has been explained, come on-board as another "source" on the BeoSound 5. So whereas today you have N.MUSIC

The way B&O is a company with a long tradition in electric razors. Whatever happened in the distant past, they are not known as purveyors of sound systems these days. Takes a long time to get a reputation back.

Can't say for certain whether this is the reason for the "delay," but it's worth considering the sheer volume of new products we're going to be releasing/relaunching. Since we control our own distribution channels we attempt to get the most out of every launch in terms of press attention and client penetration as well as the advertising
