  • Re: Bang to Computer

An Airport Express is a natural choice. http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/ Works and osunds very well and is reasonable priced. You need a wireless card though in your computer. If you don't have an existing wireless setup it will be very easy to setup. it will connect through a cable to the BS2300. I have used that for a long time. for the cable

  • Re: BV8 and HDMI switch problems

Lets say you activate the HDMI for Source TV. You should be able to add the Apple TV and the STB via the expander to the single HDMI port. However as you can select only one device for Source TV that is controlled via the STBc you need to pick and choose what that will be. Since you have just STB and Apple TV I probably would move one of them to the

  • Re: BV8 and HDMI switch problems

You are out of luck unfortunately. The bV8 can handle only 1 HDMI source at the same time. It has nothing to do wth switching the TV on or off. If you activate it on AV1 that will deactivate it on AV2. So you will have to switch manually on the box itself and you will only be able to control one single source through the STBc. In your case, I think

  • OT: Netflix comes out with STB for playing on Demand

http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/05/20/why-the-roku-netflix-player-is-the-first-shot-of-the-revolution/?ref=technology Very interesting. I think this will put some pressure on Apple, I am hoping an STBc will come so I can control it from my Beo4. JK

    >> It's not a B&O design TV just a re-badged product? Thats also why there is no pin-code protection.<< This is as it is so aggressively priced that everyone can afford and nobody has to steal one. If it would be rebadged, it would also have more then one HDMI. That said, I am enjoying mine a lot. I am watching the TV for hours and

  • Re: BC2: pre-owned or new?

I think there are actually 3 versions. With the initial one you had very funny operation when using DVD. I.e. you had to push Go multiple times. That was fixed maybe a year or 2 ago. I think they also added DVIX. The audible feedback came end of last year, in the US they are still selling off the models without. The initial version seemed to be somewhat

  • Re: (Maybe) Strange Issue when connecting appletv to BV 7-32

The DVI input that you are using does not carry sound. You would have to funnel that through one of the normal AV connections. If your TV is HD ready, Lets say you have DTV linked to AV2. There should be an entry HDTV uunder connection AV2 where you can switch to the DVI port. Funnel then the sound through AV2 and the picture through DVI. otherwise

  • Re: Experiment with beamer and Beosound 1

I use a Infocus IN72 Non HD projector sometimes to throw DVDs on the wall. For the price it's an awesome product. no HD but one doesn't need that anyway for DVDs. it is also reasonable quiet. The thing is is, when you start with the beamer I think you want blueray and other HD sources. The picture definitely becomes a bit un-sharp when you hit

  • Re: Buying a BC2?

I bought the BC2 for my BV8 as well. Picture is very nice. I am not expecting the BC2 to become blueray, this would go beyond exchanging the drive. They would have to redo the socket unit as well so it would be a complete new device. I would think they will start off with a Blueray in a DVD2 like case matching the BS3. I took the BC2 since I wanted
