Main drive band would be the first thing I would change. Chances are it has never been changed and you will be amazed at the difference. Still available from B&O dealers and worth doing anyway.

When you press MENU on Beo4 you get the options box at the centre bottom of screen. >> until box reads SETUP From memory i'm afraid!!

I would get the MMC5 retipped by Axel. New diamond, new cantilever and new suspension for 89 Euros plus a bit of postage.

The CD will not spin until the laser finds focus. That it doesn't spin is indicative of a failed laser or a fault on the servo board. The CD Mech and control board will need replacing unless you want to really get down and tecnical. Replacement would be my option but the only place to obtain the spares is a B&O dealer as the mech and the interface

Remove the upper and lower glass panels by removing 1 screw under the left hand end of each panel and sliding the panels to the right->. Now remove 4 screws holding the centre panel and lift the panel away (beware 4 rubber spaces which could drop into the beocenter!) The mechanism and string drive is now exposed. Connect the Beolabs to the TV. Connect the TV Aux link socket to the Aux on 9300 with an Aux/link cable. Set A-Opt to 0 Set V-Opt to 2 This should route all the commands through the TV.

This sort of reaction was inevitable once the relationship with B&O was developed further. Rather like the first time you crawl under the covers with the girl of your dreams, unless you are careful, there could be consequences!! We got the BV8-40 draw prize!!!!

Hmmmm! Not sure that I would use rubber to replace foam. If B&O designed them with foam then that's what I would use for the replacements.
