New capacitors arrived today from a guy in Michigan I used to buy parts from back in the 80's when I built a few pairs of speakers. Solen. Dude. They are huge.

<sarcasm> Just wanted to say goodbye to everyone. I don't really qualify to use the site as I listen to my ripped CDs on a custom-built computer and RX2 w/MMC4 through S45-2s by way of an NAD 7175 receiver. I am not elitist enough, so therefore, I will resign my membership. When I score The Precious (Beomaster 4401) and replace the NAD I will

In the application I would use The Precious for, the sloping face would actually be ideal. Mount the monitor on the wall, and lovingly place The Precious between the S45-2s on my desktop. And then get a 4000 to use with my S40s.

[quote user="burantek"] LOVE IT! With my old series Land Rovers... in no particular order... 1.) Drove ~20 miles home w/ a pair of hemostats holding the carb's [broken] cable together. 2.) While at least one member of the forum will tell you the caps need about a 200 hour burn-in period, I noticed an immediate (positive of course) difference. I've probably got 50 good hours into them now, and I'm a very happy S45

Why so cheap? Or is it likely this is going to be sniped much higher? Do I need to buy this to drive my S45-2s?

For what it's worth, the way Bentleyman feels about "digital" is how I feel about 3D television.

The kit did work. See this thread .

Have you considered this ? I have one that's the heart of my desk top system. Sources are my custom built PC (ripped CDs and DVDs) and B&O RX2 turntable; speakers are B&O S45-2s. If not the NAD 7175PE: I used to drive my desk top system with an NAD 7140 receiver that was bridged for 80 wpc, with an outboard bridged NAD 2140 power amp. I
