[quote user="Razlaw"] Just tried a different set of analog cables and now it works. Thanks for all of the help. Am I correct if use just the analog cables the two rooms should be in sync? However would not be able to get surround sound on movies from Apple TV. If I connect both types of cables I should be able to turn HDMI off in the BV7 menus

The front of the phone is glass with an aluminum wheel. The back shell is plastic. The base is aluminum. You should be well pleased if you're looking for a higher finish than BeoCom 1.

I think it will be somewhere in between. SACD required a bigger investment in gear beyond just the player. Audio & video were only starting to integrate so multi-channel amps and extra speakers were daunting. Combine that with the slim selection and you had a flightless bird. Blu-ray benefits from the equipment being largely in place. People were

Razlaw, I think the issue could be either or both of the following two issues: (1) To hear the signal of the Apple TV over ML, the analog audio must be connected in addition to HDMI. As long as the device outputs analog parallel with video, you're good. (2) Having chosen to access Apple TV under PC has limited you since the PC command doesn't

Apple TV is a pain in the ass. If you're willing to give up access to 80% of the movies available on earth in return for a highly dubious level of "convenience" then it's a great product. If and when it comes untethered from their narrow content distribution stream, boost the memory, and find better ways of sorting content than ever

TVs can only have so global a platform. With different tuners and power supplies come slightly different builds, which North America can't currently justify based on the numbers of BeoVision 8s currently selling. You could make (and I certainly have) the chicken and egg argument, but that's the reality. Perhaps if Kalle can continue to make

It will just be a dock. It will rely on the iPod's DA converter and connect via standard video cables. Our real iPod dock is called the BeoSound 5. Live the dream.

Stan, You can absolutely use a single pair of speakers with the BeoVision 7. We already know what the BeoVision 10 will have to offer and it is decidedly less than the BeoVision 7. Less picture processing, less features, etc. It will still be a dynamite tv, but the discounted BV7 with a set of BeoLab 4000s will only be slightly more than the BeoVision

Customer reactions and sales tell me this was the right move at the right time. I think the opposite of these concerns is true, I think that investing $3-5k in a CD player is feeling a bit short-sighted in these times of wiser purchasing. Audio had all but come to a dead halt until the BeoSound 5 came out. Now it's selling as a stand alone system

H1, Since the BeoMaster 5 doesn't have an auxiliary input like the rest of the audio masters, getting sound from a TV onto the system is going to be interesting: Set up the BeoSound 5 in OPTION 0 (your dealer can help you with this, but it means changing a setting in the menu that tells the system to ignore remote commands) and connect an Active
