Advice given to me by my local B&O service center was to get the BC9300. The reason for this is that you can still get parts to repair it. The CD mechanism is not available (apparantly), so once it's broken it can't be fixed. The 9300 uses the same Cd mechanism as the overture, BS3000, BS3200, etc. so is easily replaced. You can press and hold down the red circle button on the DVD1 to manually switch it off, but then you need to get off your seat to do this. It seems the cable you bought is interfering with the setup. You might have to go back to Scart......

I live in Australia, where the voltage is 240V. I have a Beolab 2000 that is 120V, but I would like to have it running at 240V. Obviously I could use a transformer, but I'd rather have it all internally correct. So bearing that in mind, I have a Beocenter 2200 that is 240V. It's a bit of a basket case, but it does power up. Actually, I beg to differ... I had a pair of Lab 4 PCs connected to a B&O stereo. I got some custom made mini jack -> 5 pin din cables made and they worked a treat!!

No!! I collected it from their home.... T hey didn't have a Beovision so I couldn't test it. The lady I bought it from says she was selling it on behalf of her father and told me it works perfectly. I think she'll be getting a phone call today

Hi Beoworlders, I was watching a DVD on the weekend on my DVD1 connected to my Mx7000. After about 15 minutes playing it just froze and wouldn't respond to any commands. I switched it off, but it came up with 'disc error'. I waited a while and tried again. The disc played for about 15 minutes then froze again. I then tried again and got
