Chris, I did try changing the position of the cartridge selector switch, but it made no difference at all. Craig

Having some strange problems with a Beogram 5000, the sound is very distorted. Tried 3 different cartridges on it, 2 X MMC4 and an MMC5. It sounds the same with all 3. Also sometimes the needle wil jump, like it is playing a damaged record. Other times it is fine.(This is with the same record each time). Also there is a slight background humming noise

Great advert, not sure if I would buy one though. Looks better than other Loewe sets I have seen though. Craig
