OP may not care, but I for one also think it's fun to refurbish speakers. If the sound isn't improved, hopefully there will be lessons learned that can be applied to the next project.

Interesting . I guess if you put your DMM on your cartridge and publish the result in your listing, you'll get an extra $100 out of it. Ebay makes no sense. A month ago I was outbid in the neighborhood of $150 for a pair of S45-2s, and this week a pair goes for less than $75. Alas, still no Precious.
