• Re: Ever seen or heard about this B&O speakers?

The Rondstraler actually has a kind of acoustic lens in it. You'll find some discussion on it here if you spell it correctly in the search box No I have no idea about a price for the K's. 50-250 perhaps, depending if more than one prospective buyer happens to find the listing...

  • Re: Audiorama & Beovox cube

I have always secretly admired these. The bigger 7000's hanging from the ceiling chains... *drool* The principle is obviously very similar to the cubes, except that these are full range speakers. There are some nice pics on Audiorama's Facebook page.
Have you not got a Beocenter you can try it on? Can't think of any without a built in RIAA.
9300, all of the upright Beocenters, and Beocenter 2 But anyway, both of these record decks need a preamp, simple as that. But even without, you should hear at least something when you crank up the volume high enough

  • Re: The case for having a spare router modem

Most Zyxel P660 series routers (incl. mine) have a nice habit of momentarily dropping the ethernet connections every now and then after they get to be a couple of years old. If you only use the wireless or just browse the web you might not notice it.
With laptops dropping CD mechanisms, one thing that would be neat to see is to put your CD in a BS9000, go to your iTunes and pull it in directly. Only software updates are needed to make things like this happen.
Excellent idea, but not possible technically with just software updates. Data drives read the disc

  • Re: (Dillen) How should a recordplayer be packed?

I'm not sure if the "fragile" labels help anything, might be just the opposite...
Something I have not used, yet (very creative on your part). I usually spot the subject w/ a desk lamp and go. I would like to see some of your macro work with this! However, I have since built a ring light for purposes like this. Stuff from DealExtreme plus some junk laying around, cost perhaps $20 and one hour of work... The camera is my Canon 30D workhorse which has been everywhere from Greenland to Tanzanian grass (sand...) plains and never complained.
