Very nice deck - I am looking for a picture for Beocentral - I edit out the background - this is one of my old decks before editing - actually fairly similar to the 2402. I need a pale background and all the deck - you will get the credit on the site!

Different 2400s I think. The first one is the later model with the sloping front. I doubt it is the belt but more likely a corroded contact. Keep pressing it and see if repeated use improves it - or it will need dismantling and cleaning. The light shows the speed selected. The second 2400 is the pretty earlier square one with the rectangular control

Keith has been doing a huge amount of work behind the scenes and its is thanks to him that we all have this site working as it does. I know Lee has said we would be nowhere without Keith and I agree completely.

I am sure your MX reacts like my LX. When you go into V.Setup and then press LIST to scroll through the options, if you press GO when for instance BASS is listed, do you get BASS displayed at the top left of the screen? Which up and down buttons are you using? It should be the top and bottom of the diamond, not the volume control.

Just had a look through the relevant service manual - extremely unhelpful for specifics but your codes do not feature in the list meaning that some module needs replacing! I suppose that is good news! It would appear to be a communication problem so I suppose the first thing to do is check all your connections.

The speakers usually included in the original tests were the P50s though S60s or M70s were suggested as well. I have used mine with P45s and S45s and these work well. It was not a great seller and was expensive new. It also did not sound as good as the stereo receivers in the range and quad was a passing fad. It uses the circuit design from the 901

Same as my LX6000 - should work with the V.Setup button!
