Easy trigger! While this forum is full of knowledgeable people (glances in mirror), we need to be a little careful about doling out advice if we're not certain that we're correct. I know that many people come here to get good honest advice to make buying decisions and there's enough bad information being given out in shops already! BeoPort

The BeoMaster 5 can connect via VGA, DVI, HDMI, Composite Video, or Component Video. I don't quite understand what advice your dealer gave you, but I'm sure you have at least one of those to spare on your BeoVision 6. The BeoMaster 5 is certainly usable without the head unit, but I would suggest STRONGLY, that if you're on the fence about

I'm with Moxxey here. Hasn't this been well sorted for months now? BeoVision 7 MkIV: 100/120hz panel w/ blu-ray. It will launch late spring/early summer depending on your market. The blu-ray player will play regular DVDs. Good gracious! The upgrade is available to everyone who's bought the TV in the US as we've only ever sold the MkIII

The BeoCom 1 is not compatible with the BeoCom 6000. The BeoCom 1 registers to the BeoLine Base, not the BeoCom 6000 Master Base.

I haven't heard a single thing about 50." I wouldn't say 100% for certain, but all internal discussions have been of a 40" LCD. The 50" size would make it a plasma (based on our suppliers) and it is most assuredly not a plasma television. This would mean a 52" or 55" which would make very little sense based on its goal

The BeoVision 7 MkIV is not released in the US yet. We're looking at June at this point. I assume the replacement drive will be available at about the same time. I wasn't aware the BV7 MkIV was available anywhere yet to be honest.

The EarSet 3 uses a standard mini-jack. It works with any standard headphone jack including Apple products. It can even plug into the first generation iPhone without adaptation. The issue will be mobile phones which, unlike music players, tend to have almost no standardization to their jacks.

The BeoVision 7 w/o DVD is being marketed as a more modular solution than the original BV7 where the configuration was pretty much set with limited choices in sound and mounting. You can add a traditional stand or mount to the BV7 w/o DVD, but that would add to the base price. There is no discount on these stands or any speakers to accompany it. You
