The instructions and components are provided for good reason, not least because the new tweeter is different to the old one. You need to be experienced at working with micro components. I would suggest that it is best left to an experienced technician.

Check that the R-L-LINE switch is set correctly.

The kit of components together with instructions is included with each tweeter and is designed to modify the protection circuit so it won't be as easy to blow the new tweeter. An audio tone generator can be bought for around £20. I use a Tenma 72-502 combined with my DMM and seem to get satisfactory results.

You will need a RIAA pre-amplifier to go between the RX2 and the 2300 Once that is sorted you can determine which adapters are required.
Given that the cartridge bodyshell is identical across the MMC series,is there anything to prevent one sending an MMC 4 cartridge, and requesting an MMC 2 rebuild?
No, provided the coils are serviceable, Axel will rebuild to whatever spec that you are willing to pay for.

The mode switch should be set to AUTO and the power switch should be set to II. The bass ext should be set to whatever sounds best to your ears.

I may have missed something here but why would you want to run 2 Conas???
Stereo bass. I was contemplating the same with my one Cona and my Beovox Pentas, but gave up looking for another one in white after a while. Having a right and left Cona next to the right and left
Any B&O dealer can provide you with Powerlink Cables. As far as I know, they have to be fully wired (Powerlink MK3 cables I suppose they are called?) to also send a signal to the displays of the Penta, anyone please correct me if I am wrong. Christian
No!!! Speakers with displays require Mk2 Powerlinks.
