No idea how this has happened, but my BM5 has stopped responding to remote commands so, when it boots and you see the menu screen on the TV, nothing happens. The BS5 still operates and will control the BM5. Audio can be heard via the TV. However, switching off the TV doesn't put the BS5 on standby. Why has the BM5 stopped responding to Beo4 commands

I've found exactly the opposite. Why? iTunes have changed the way they handle their audio tracks, since going DRM-free. Instead of ripping from CD, they are sourced directly from the music publisher and the publisher submits the tracks through the iTunes CMS. As these tracks are created from the original sound source, the quality is far far better

I have the same problem. I've got around this by using another Beo4 to control my BV8. So, one Beo4 does *everything* in both rooms, apart from control the BV8. Only a specific Beo4 will operate it. There is, perhaps, another way. I think you can configure it so you have to do LINK+option to turn on the linkroom TV. However, I found it easier to
Moxxey - I take it you don't even bother with the lottery
Put it this way: if I could fix the result myself, I would. I often end up having to 'finish' my own installation. I'm now working on getting the link-room TV working again. Finished the BS5 install myself (to a point).
Yes, it is possible. If your BS5 is audiomaster it must be set to option 0 - BV7-40 to V.OPT 2. If you have another Beosound in the masterlink system, set BS5 to no audiomaster. Seems there is something wrong with your installation...(?)
There often appears to be a problem with my installation. Now my BV8-26

Guys, is it possible to play the BS5 via the connected BV7-40, without turning on the TV? ie. make the speakers turn on, but not the TV screen?
-
3- As far as I know you cannot delete tracks via Beoconnect. With the update you will be able to delete tracks directly with Beo4 via TV screen.
I noticed on the Mac you can remotely login to the Windows-based BM5 as 'BM-USER' with the right password. From Finder, you can delete music (but not upload

Dealer spent quite a while installing my BS5/BM5 this afternoon, but left before I could use properly and ask questions. It's connected to my BV7-40 so isn't an 'audiomaster'. 1) When you select N.MUSIC from the TV screen, using the Beo4, how do you browse and scroll through your music? You can only move forward and back beween tracks
...instead of "RADIO", "PC" instead of "CD", and "NMUSIC"
No, not at all. I have a very modern B&O system - with my BS5 arriving today - but I'll always still require the RADIO and CD buttons. Indeed, they are used more than anything apart from V.MEM, which

That's a hell of a difference in price, between continents. Bizarre - you could buy it from the local store in Denmark for more than it costs from America. I would love to know how they ship that to the States and the shipping costs involved. Which makes the difference in price even more confusing.
