After looking at the BV8 (and therefore I suppose the BV10) service manual I notice the HDMI receiver chips are capable of decoding HD audio although the TV specification makes no such claims. Does anyone know what else within the TV prevents a decoded stream from being output to the speakers?

I've been auto-modded several times, mostly for being uncouth , although on several occassions it took me a few attempts to re-try my post before I identified the offending word. Still, I've no complaints, just look at the stuff they have let me post!
