• Re: vibrations causing records to skip

I am not making this up. Yesterday I was goofing off on The IntarWebs and came across a DIY isoloation project. Picture the bottom half of a shallow wooden box, just larger than your turntable. Got that picture in your head? Now put an inflated bicycle tire inner tube (the kind for 20" BMX bikes) inside the box. The inner tube isn't fully inflated

  • Re: Newbie here but with a B&O history - love this site

Welcome Texas from Florida. I adore my S45-2s. Listening to some vinyl with them right now. Just bought a second BM2400 to restore (waiting on delivery). My current Holy Grail is The Precious! I must have The Precious!!! (Er, that is, I would very much like to own a Beomaster 4401 some day.) Anyway, if you do decide to buy the lot and find the S75s

  • Re: MS150.2 repairs

When I refoamed the 8" woofers of my S40s, the new dust caps were attached with the same adhesive as the foam surrounds. BTW, the removal and replacement of the dust caps is probably the easiest part of the whole process.

Check the first thread in the For Sale forum - Martin (handle = Dillen) has drivers for sale. Did you check that thread?
A minimum level of silver membership is required to access the sales forum. Martin doesn't actually have any drivers for these listed in there so it would

The Solen caps are 400V. Thanks so much for the procedure for fixing the gouge!

Refoaming isn't difficult. Don't be afraid to try. I just did some S40s . There are other threads on this forum. Use the search. People have had great success adopting and rescuing some sad Beovoxes! There are driver repairers out there. I've never used this guy for that, but Mark's a great guy and I've bought parts from him since
Well done Menahem. I'm full of admiration of your patience and electronic knowledge.
Seconded. Since there's no emoticon available that says "I'm not worthy...":

What wonderful timing - the UPS man brought my new copy of Dark Side of the Moon today. This is my first 180 gram LP. These things are hefty. Gonna play Dark Side with the S40s then swap them out for the S45-2s and play it again!

Claus: Thanks for the reply re: scraping. I, too, like both beer and wine, but I do not like both kinds of music: Country and Western.

  • Re: White noise and how to minmise it.

Sounds like an impedance matching problem using the headphone jack like that. I'm no expert in fixing the issue, so I can't suggest a fix.
