We may find that it can use MOTS with future software releases (specifically the major release planned for late summer/early fall). I think the issue right now is that the software doesn't really have a "place" for things like "queue" or "favorites." I'm not sure, Puncher, whether you own a BeoSound 5 yet, but I

We don't see photos or mach-ups until just before launch. With very few exceptions we have little more than a month or two on the general public. We hear things described in terms of looks and functionality but nothing that could potentially leak out. Maybe I'll do some simple renderings of stick figures using the new products!

"B&O ain't going to do it any time soon" That's, uh... not entirely true. I think if you comb through some of the threads over the past few weeks, you would discover that just such a device is closer to release than anyone would have thought. I'm sure some will want so see this solution launched before taking the plunge, and

Here's the thing: Despite the fact that they are inextricably linked, the BeoSound 5 and BeoMaster 5 are separate devices. Even though their software runs on the same computer, they are different software programs. The BeoSound 5 is a playlist builder. Its GUI is designed to seek out music and put it in the queue to listen to. Once it's worked

Currently no, but that will change by late summer/early fall. Basically the new BeoVisions control the BeoMaster 5 via MasterLink and the older televisions can't. The BeoMaster 5 will have to be controlled with its own IR eye but that is not currently supported in the software. This has been discussed internally as part of the roll-out. I'm

Stan, 1. The BeoSound 5 does not itself (to my knowledge) compensate for the volume, but rather mirrors the settings of the host program (i.e. iTunes or BeoPlayer). iTunes, for example, has the ability to moderate the volumes to a universal range across a collection. This has worked marvelously and I haven't found myself turning the volume up or

T.W.G. I do work for Bang & Olufsen. I own a shop on the south shore of Spider Skull Island. We're not on any maps and surrounded by choppy waters where mysterious disappearances have been known to take place. Spider Skull Island -> I will, within reason, continue to sneak a few clues to the mainland as I glimpse them in the fires.

I think the need to trade up is all down to what you want to watch, both on TV and in terms of external video sources. Standard def still looks like wizardry on the Avant and rather unspectacular on my BV8 & BV4, but when it comes to HD (which is now the vast majority of what I watch) both new televisions outpace the Avant by a mile. I have Apple

Sorry for slacking off on this thread. I dangled a carrot and then disappeared! It's funny, but had I answered the timeframe question when it was posed, I would have said 12-18 months. In the interim, however, I've heard some interesting news that this product is much closer than I would ever have thought. Like mid-summer short. Now I don't
