Yes the TV does need to be on but Apple TV offers a screen saver function.

It is my understanding that AST is not yet available. It will be added to and enabled on BS3s sometime in the future.

Thanks for the input. The discount is due to it being a floor model, but with very little use. It is in the store connected to a pair of Beolab 3s and thus used only when a customer wants to hear the three together rather than the other pair of 3s in the store with no sub connected.

We have a new iMac connected by Beoport and Masterlink to two rooms. One room has a pair of Beolab 6000s. The other room has a Beovision 7, Beosound 3000, and Beolab 9s. Any updates on the new sub? Our dealer has offered us a Beolab 2 at a 35% discount. Am trying to decide whether to consider it or wait for the new sub. We have Beolab 9s that I am quite happy with but my wife thinks we need a sub.

Try this....set the volume where you want it then List until get to speaker, use left and right on Beo 4 to adjust balance then List on Beo 4 until get to A.Setup might have to add this function to the Beo 4, once there press go List will then bring up bass treble and loudness which can be adjusted and finally a store function.

Having just installed Beoport on an iMac, I have noticed in the settings options for when the speakers turn on. One of them is "manual". If that selection is chosen, how are the speakers turned on and off "manually"? Thanks!

Just connected Beoport to our new iMac. Prior to purchasing the iMac. Prior to purchasing the iMac I tried Beoport with our Macbook Pro and all worked fine. Now that I have it connected to the iMac there is no sound. The Beolab 4000s turn on and off but no sound. Any suggestions? Thanks!
