Claes, Whilst using the "mute" key is a workaround, it is not a solution. The problem you have identified is caused by a software problem and can only be fixed with a " yet to be produced " software update. You should contact your dealer and get them to report it to B&O who may already be aware of this issue.

Are you sure that you have purchased the correct battery ? The battery should say on it SANYO Ni-MH model 3HR-AAAU 3.6v There are similar batteries which are 3.6 volts but have a different charge/discharge rating.

If you do NOT use the TV button and press "List the V.AUX then GO, when you get picture but no sound Press MUTE twice. Does the sound come on ?

I would say that moving the TV has more than likely moved the cables which goes up to the tube area. You should get an engineer to remove the back and determine if this is the cause.

Richard, A very warm welcome to Beoworld and your first posting. I have had a look at the circuit which defines the timing of the switch off and it is determined by the charging of C148 switching transistor TR142. This timing should be about 100 seconds, so I am surprised when you say it is about 2 seconds. Is it the same for all 4 speakers as there

When you say the picture "tilts", do you mean the whole picture or just the left hand side of the picture ? Did the problem just appear one day or was it after the AVANT had been physically moved ?
