You could check if the 2-way is working by switching it on, adjust a setting, f.e. the volume and look (close-up) if the ir-emitters blink (very faint, may take a few seconds before they blink) The emitters are located in the glass panel, see image below. My BM4500 only works in 2-way with Beolink 5000 & 7000, with the MCP 6500 there is no contact
