• Re: Beomaster 5000 Tuner For Sale

I believe in this case, a lone unit will be much harder to sell than a Beomaster+Beolab combo, as the tuner is not very useful by itself (in B&O context) - and then you'll be left looking for a lone amp. That makes it a case for only the more determined collectors
Personal taste?
Well of course it is! They are your Pentas, not mine, and therefore your opinion should be the one that counts for you! It's a great idea and you seem to have executed it extremely well. But what's the point in commenting at all in a thread like this if it's all going to be "wow

  • Re: Flash your B&O!

I suppose Beogram #2 will be rather awkward to use I'm a bit torn on your Pentas. The shiny amp obviously looks nice in itself and goes well with the rest of the setup, but I also see the point of the original grey design, which doesn't "cut the column" when looking from the front...

  • Re: Beovox Series V speakers

In both speakers? That's odd... I would it expect it to be between 1-10 uF, but hang on, I suppose somebody will know the correct value. EDIT: there you go

  • Re: Beovox Series V speakers

I suppose the OP means Type V, the wall speaker from the '60s. The info on site conveniently shows the insides as well, with all of one (1) capacitor. Isn't the value printed on it?
Do you think the volume cannot be controlled using the beo4 on BS1.
That shouldn't be a problem, just adjust the 5000 to a fixed volume level so that it "plays along" with the other channels, and it will follow them. BM5000 remembers the last source and you can store the volume setting, so after

Can't see why not - just get a Powerlink to RCA adapter from Sounds Heavenly or something, adjust the volume suitably and off you go... But the daily operations, like power on & off of the entire mess will soon get pretty complicated.
Wow, wow, and WOW!
That is lovely! I've been thinking about finally replacing my soon 8 y.o Canon compact, and this might redirect my plans... @Andreas, Verkkokauppa has it for preorder at 999,-. ObPhoto: Sauer & Sohn Mod.3000 2x12 / .222
You can control the basic functions on the 6500 system with the BL1000.
I'd rather say "all the important functions". You can't set the clock, the timers, or control the more esoteric Beocord functions, but everything else is just fine. You can even program the radio presets with a BL1000 (far
Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if there were different versions of the 9500 software as well. Actually the simple commands from both BL7000 and MCP6500 look the same if you truncate the commands at a certain point
