Hi all, I'm thinking of using an old laptop I hav in order to make a small media center based on the xbmc medial player which I concider it very good. Two issues I'm considering. 1st. Is it possibel to use the infrared port of the laptop (which ideally is infront) as a receiver to command the media center? 2nd. Has anyone setup the XBMC media

I'm afraid I have to agree on this. I totally understand some price increase based on certain facts, however this is not justified in this case. Being luxury product does not mean high end tech. e.g. Beosound5, nothing more than a nice looking media player. Why priced almost 5.000 Euros?? I just can't understand it.

Hi Craig, Just connected a Surge protector and I have to admit there was a significant reduction. But still in some cases it is done. I've already contacted my local B&O Techs and I'll let you know once I have it hopefully done!!! Regards Spiros

I guess it should be covered by the warranty? But quite honestly if that was a pre-production model obviously they are checking how this works with the rest of the Beoliving. My personal opinion is that this product will not solve problems but could create some more headaches!!!!

Just another thought that came into my mind. Could the buzzing noise might have to do with the power supply? I have the TV set on a multiplug unit along with the Beosound 4, DVD and SAT Rx.
