• Re: Looking for help: second hand BV7-40 w/o DVD or BV8-40
Surely it must be the 100hz screen? I see no reason to think otherwise. I have just got back from London for the weekend and I was watching Star Trek Voyager on my Mum's Avant RF 32 DVD TV. This is 100hz and I have to say that I didn't notice any difference at all between that and the 50hz on my BV7-40
In a different thread I have said that I like the BeoSound 3 and use it often.
I agree. I also use mine a lot. The problem with the BS3 for me is it's lacking features. I needs Beo4 support (so you can quickly mute it from a distance, say if you're in an office or something) and you should be
If B&O went under how likely is it that the likes of Apple would pick up the name and core business for little outlay from the receivers?
In case I missed something, but where's the relationship between Apple and B&O? ie. what interest does B&O have as a brand for Apple? My guess is that it's
B&O sales within Apple stores another approach.
That's not going to happen. Where's the benefit to Apple? Think about these things! :) Can you imagine B&O saying "we can't shift our own products in our own stores....but do you mind moving some of your popular and profitable Apple products

  • Re: More problems: BV7-40 MKIV red line issues

I was just talking generically (ie. person above stating 'refund under consumer rights' which is only if the shop agrees ;) - I'll speak with my dealer tomorrow. No idea about the solution for this, but I'm sure they'll fix it.
Hi moxxey very nice set-up you got there ,shame about your tv picture .
Apart from where another dealer ripped something off the skirting board, leaving half the paintwork missing I'll need to sort that out soon. I have no idea what's causing these red lines and, yes, it's a lemon. However, if your dealer
If high end hifi companies Meridian, B&W and Goldmund can still thrive..
How do you know they are thriving? Do you have access to their company accounts? One of the key differences between those brands and B&O is that B&O decided to go down the 'you can only get our equipment from our
Personally I think Apple with its massive cash reserves would do well to invest in B&O. Graham
Unfortunately B&O is making a loss, cutting back staff and is at the opposite end of the spectrum from Apple's customers. Most of Apple's new customers buy iPods and worry about the cost of a £400

  • Re: BS 9000 vs. BS 5

This has been debated at least twice recently. I'd run a search for the replies. In fact, I'd always do that before posting a new thread. From the BS5 perspective - it only really plays digital audio. It's very expensive kit, to play digital audio. I'd buy myself a mint second hand BS9000 and connect an Airport Express. I own both a
