Hi Graham, Those early S45's are IMHO the best sounding Uniphase speakers. Here's a Workshop I did in restoring them, with new caps. http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/5584/40478.aspx The sound is pretty good before the restore, but afterwards, it's like sitting in the middle of the stage, with perfect hearing

Recently purchased (courtesy of Beoworlder Richtoy on eBay) a pair of white S45's (early Uniphase 3 speaker type). They are now hooked up to my Beomaster 2000 (refurbished by Martin (Dillen)) and the result is visually and audibly outstanding! Still trying to make my mind up whether they need a recap because they sound so good, yet must be more

There is a new software update being broadcast now in the N West region. (Possibly all regions.) Hopefully it will unscramble and reorder the channels correctly after your last Freeview re-tune! Called in at Liverpool B&O earlier in the week to pick up an IR splitter for controlling two STBs. Two days later get a call from the shop, and half expect it's just a courtesy call to see if the splitter installed OK. Wrong. They've been given some vintage equipment from a house clearance and might I be interested in some of the items.
The wall mount is made to be exceptionally thin - 8mm. I dare say a motorised wall mount can be made - maybe STB brackets can help. It just needs some mounting points changing. It will however not lie flush with the wall.
As you already have to drill or cut the wall to get properly concealed cables, I'd have

Thanks for letting us know! One of the greatest letdowns when searching Beoworld is to find threads with problems and suggested solutions, but no final confirmation that the problem was resolved. ..........and, as should have been stated in the first reply, welcome to Beoworld Graham
Dunno how relevant this is over there since our DVB semantics differ slightly, but often there will be problems with automatic tuning if the box first locks on a transmitter from a wrong area while receiving the network information; then it will search for the rest of the channels at incorrect frequencies for the area
