Dear Kokomo - you are not a fraud! Those of us who own vintage and veteran B&O kits provide a valuable service of advice and guidance to the next generation who choose to enter the brand by investing via eBay. We are also good PR because we are the living proof of the enduring value of, and pleasure from, the brand. I understand your sweet regret

From back to front :) 2/ the new Apple TV aka ATV2G is a good alternative to the Airport Express with the following considerations: the ATV2G outputs either HDMI and/or optical audio ... so you can connected it to the BeoVision's HDMI ... or to one of its two SPDIF ports using the ATV2G will cause the video to be displayed ... and some people don't

by MLGW he meant "master link gateway" which some of us think is an expensive option. The constraint you have placed in your scenarios is not being able to pick up the Beo4 (or 5 or 6) to activate the Beovision. Activating the Beovision does not have to be in VIDEO mode; there are ways to activate it in AUDIO mode only. Others have go to the

Thanks Mike :) Thanks Trip :) For the record, I think the decline in Beoworld started when Wedthread was moved to separate server and forum ... sure hope it comes back in 2011 ... and yes, I know they are only a link away but it is one link too many because I am such a lazy slob

Hopefully I am not a naysayer. In fact in many ways it is not B&O who changed ... but us. I would be here more often ... but work has been quite demanding this year. I would be more positive ... if Trip had shed more illumination from his trip to the dealer conference. I like CDs ... but MP3s can be more convenient. I like B&O ... but I need

Eventually, the Struer operation must become a sales and marketing operation only and all development and manufacturing should move to the Pacific Rim areas , China being the cheapest place to manufacture for many years to come. This is not the future, it is the present, believe me

I have a bought the new apple TV Works well with my BV8-32 but of course inly stereo because of the BV8 platform
Yeah, but are you using HDMI and Optical simultaneously?
no, just using the HDMI connection

In your review of "why I like B&O" you mentioned an album by Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass so I decided to try and hunt it down for a Christmas present to myself, but I only found an album called "Hamburg Duets - 1976" a live recording which compared to the album you recommended some had no overlaps. So I guess I shall have to

Thanks everyone for your tips and advice
I created a new thread a while back about some of the things iTunes 10.x.x has been doing to sound, and one of them is audible crackling/distortion on some tracks.
And yes Alex I read with interest that thread because I had thought that my music was degrading but had assumed
