mAtHiAs: Question - Is the BL6000's a good hifi speaker?? The BL4 apart, the BL6000 is the weakest speaker in the range. They are good as rears in a 5.1 setup, but you miss a lot if they are used as fronts.

Peter, I honestly don't know if a 15 year old can appreciate a BS3. If you want to offer him a music-player, why don't you consider an iPod, if he does not already have one.

It is difficult to understand for me that the british people are still happy with Queen Elisabeth. I don't think she does not do are great job, but imo, a change would be good, as she has been there for so many many years?

A good friend of mine has one of those Bose systems in the living room. It sounds not bad, but imo, it is only acceptable for background music. If you want to seriously listen to music, the Bose system won't do it. I would choose a BS1 in your case, as it is easy to use, very handy and stylish.
