Probably the ground cable between chassis and tube is not connected...

Yes, 4 of them. DO NOT REMOVE THEM! It will make a very loud PLOPP when you switch it on. It will destroy your speakers! The TDA 1541 DA-converter has some Volt offset (~2.5V), without the muting transistors this offset goes directly to your amplifier and can also destroy the preamp/amplifier. That's really no fun. Yes, it's a tacho system for constant speed. But the motor itself has just 2 wires and is quite normal like any other e-motor.
-
Usually the motor brushes are defect, causing a short. It makes no sense to repair this motor because the collector is also burnt by the heat. But you can check the motor itself, remove the small electronic board in the motor and test it with a seperate power supply. Then you see wether it's the motor or the electronic.

I think i used 14V 0,04A mini lights. A 14V light used with 12V has a much longer lifetime ... about 3-4 times more and a minimum of heat... and the symbols are much better to read, no bright spot. Reichelt electronic has these lights.

1 Watt lights? Shouldn't be there 14V 0,04A lights installed? ... otherwise it becomes really hot.

We call them "SHREDDER"...

Fingerprints or dirt inside the glas?

Martin
