How much working time does a glue gun give Craig? I haven't used one myself and would imagine it would be great for resticking cloth which has lifted but not sure how practicable it would be starting from fresh. I'd be interested to know if it allowed time for repostioning before it sets hard. Chris.

The ali fascias can be reproduced at B&Q. They sell some very thin ali sheeting which can be cut with a Stanley knife. It's the best you will do as you cannot remove the originals without damaging them. Cut to size & score on the reverse to get the bend & just stick them on with carpet tape. Chris.

Most proper speaker cloth is quite stretchy - Maplins sell some in black which is a bit heavier grade than the original B&O stuff but will be fine on the S45-2's. Use the origianl cloth as a template and don't be tempted into cutting the new stuff slightly smaller as it will make getting the corners right quite difficult. For glue just use

I have a perfect right hand hinge waiting for a new owner & I can also repair the left hand hinge if it isn't too far gone. If only the hole which accepts the pin is damaged then it is definately possible to fix. You should have brought it with you on Saturday Tony and I'd have repaired it there & then for you mate. Be careful when going to www.beophile.com as you may find your PC has picked up some "datamining" spyware without you knowing it. Most anti-spyware software will not pick these up on the fly, so you have to run a PC scan to remove them with products such as AVG or PC doctor or similar. I cannot remember if there was a close up shot as described but I'm pretty sure there was a white system with a BG400* in "A Clockwork Orange" - I could be wrong though and it wouldn't be the first time.... Chris.
