They vary - the early ones used the TDA1541A and I think the CDM4. Later ones used the CDM12 and a TDA1305. These were used in a variety of audiophile decks including various Naim machines and also the DAC magic.

Rather a good ad now - nice pictures and shows has the manuals.

I am sure these are not B&O. I would suggest they are home made - and pretty impressive too!
-
I have been promised a Beolit 1000 user manual - should b on soon! I have a bad photocopied version. Frede supplies full manuals with his Beolab 5000 system.
-
I would suggest getting a pre-used one - you will get far more savings that way and the TV will still be new to all intents. Or ask a dealer for a display model, though they may well have had more use.

Sounds like a definite maybe! Martin (Dillen on site) can furnish you with a new one! Very elegant deck - I think it is the thinnest looking Beogram available!
-
I would definitely eBay this. I think a couple of the decks, if with cartridges, will actually get more. The 1200, if working is sought after for its looks as much as anything for instance. The 4500 will also sell - I would list the bits separately and don't expect much for the Beocord. Mention the CD4500 has the TDA1541 DAC in the blurb - audiophiles

I would be interested to hear what it is like with music - and in particular, is it directional? Can you hear where the Beolab 11 is? The upper frequency is very high for a sub-woofer, quite a bit higher than even the Beovox Cona which certainly is directional and requires careful placement.

Martin is your man for odd decks like these. I am pretty sure we have seen one before though - it is a Beogram 1000 with a different arm fitted. HMV did the same.

If you like the B&W 805, I would get that. Why not simply use a decent power amp - the Quad 405 springs to mind as an easy fix - all remote control will be via the Beosound.
