Just had a quick look the telly is W x H x D 79.5 x 48 x 48 cm not including stand, and the overall weight is 42 k. If you wanted to fill the space with a tank, lets say the size of the screen which I will guess approximately 60cm wide? I will assume that the tank is 10 cm short of the top to allow access (although this not really enough) so that would

Or if chartz has the front off again he could take a shot of both front and back of the board which we could translate to a diagram :) Would be a good contribution to Beoworld technical too...

To be honest I think it would just look like a fish tank cabinet! I have seen some great smaller telly conversions with all knobs intact etc.. however when tanks start getting that small then fish end up suffering. Oh I wouldn't trust those legs to take the weight of all that water either!

Ah ok I seem to remember with early units you could see the clamp move across when closing the cd door - but on my mums unit I had just assumed (without much thought tbh) the clamp had gone and they now relyed on the grippy spindle. Next time I pop round I will have to try to peep as the door is closing! Even better I must find an excuse to service

I personally like the sunlight or other evironmental theory but maybe just a dodgy batch and there has been some sort of chemical breakdown. BTW I am confised (slightly more so than usual :) ) - that CD player looks like an early example which I thought had been phased out by the time the 9500 was released...?

Yes I often think asking if it has been looked at is pointless! Good to see the thing working now. BTW I like the look of your meter - I want something to take the strain off my Fluke and was looking at a Uni-t which looks quite nice. Anyway...

Yes, I always wanted one of these for my mum and her 9500. They always go for silly prices (for me) and I would be worried about that display being crunched
