  • Re: playstation 3 aanzetten.

  • Re: BV7-40 MK-II DVB-T/C upgrade missing AC3 sound

Have you selected the DD audio track within the menu of the STB-T/C? For each channel you normally have to choose between Stereo or DD (mostly 2.0).

It is basically the same as changing the ic on the STB, only easier! You don't even have to take the chassis from it's position. Remove the 2 screws on both sides of the module and remove the flatcable. Then it is rather easy to change the ic. Costs are probably around the 55 euro (just found the invoice) for the chip itself.

  • Re: HDR 2 Harddrive Upgrade to 1.5-2 TB

Hi Douglas, You are not the first one, believe me. There are several members who tried including me amongst them. It is not possible to replace the harddrive with a larger one. First of all, the size of the drive has to be set in the servicemenu of the HDR. The HDR will not recognize it´s size automatically. And for instance, the settings doesn´t

  • Re: SPDIF Connection on BV9

First of all, I assume you have a Dolby Digital module in your Avant, so the software of the avant doesn´t have to be upgraded. Then, on the back of the avant there is the module, which has a (hardware)chip. It is easy to locate it and rather easy to do it yourself. The benefit of DTS is better sound. DTS has for instance less compression on the

  • Re: DVD controller 4020

My experience is that both support almost all Onkyo models. The 515 has the same ir/codes as the 525, 535, 555 and the later 404-504 models. The attached photo is taken from a 4046 mkII.

  • Re: SPDIF Connection on BV9

Just replace the 1.4 with the latest 2.4 version abd you have DD and DTS. I´ve done this with my brother´s avant for a few month´s ago. He had the 1.9 software. As I told, It all has to do with the codec´s the module has to deal with. Just order the software which is used in a RF (DVD) version with DTS.

  • Re: SPDIF Connection on BV9

In monitor information you have to search for something like `32 IC607 (DSM) ver 1.9` If you´re having 1.9 then you have probably the latest software for the DolbyD module. If you will replace it with 2.2 or higher from the other DTS boards, then you have the DTS functionality. But keep in mind, if you´re having the 1.9 version, this supports

  • Re: beocenter 9300 vs 9500

I've had a 9500 for almost 10 years (bought it new) and sold it some years ago. The reason of selling it was the lack of compatiblity with beoport's netmusic and netradio. It was, imho, the best designed beocenter, but if you want to upgrade, then you're a bit limited.
