You can't please all the people all of the time. Perhaps as membership increases, the small number of disgruntled members might increase too. If Sensotronic wants to go then we should let it lie now, as he's not able to comment directly again here to this thread. A small price to pay for the site's success might be one or two people dropping

Local charity shop has a Beogram 2000 with an MMC4 for £75. Top of Beogram has a few surface marks. I need another MMC4 anyway - is this worth a punt if the cartridge is good? Shop has no means of testing the deck, but I could take a Beolit 600 down as the DIN plug only has five pins. I'd keep the MMC4 and flog the deck on eBay if I bought

As I have a Beogram 5005 for sale currently, I'd appreciate it if B&O stayed out of the turntable sector and concentrated solely on electronic storage mediums for the foreseeable thank you very much ;)

Excellent news - I love my Avant and have to admit to a slightly sinking feeling every time I turn it on and hear the tube power up, as I know one day it will all end in tears!!!

Ok - here are some photos: Just to re-cap, the cabinet looks like walnut to me, but certainly is in great shape. When we plugged it in unfortunately nothing happened, but as this is a valve set there could be a myriad of reasons causing this. If Graham/anyone else is interested then they can have it for free on a collection only basis from Horsforth

No worries Graham I'll post the photos into this thread. I should have been clearer though - collection only from Leeds. You'll need an estate car to fit it into too!
