I haven't owned any of the "P" series speakers so cannot comment but I have owned all of the "C" & "CX's" and many "S" series. Of the "C" & "CX" range the C70's are easily the best sounding IMO. I couldn't agree more though with Peter that S45.2's are in a different

Try using baby wipes to clean the mirrored panels. You sound like you don't need telling NOT to use any abrasive/aggressive products under any circumstances 2 pin DIN speaker cables for the CX & panel speakers are also available from Maplins with moulded plugs fitted to each end but they won't be any where near the quality of Steves cables

[quote user="TripEnglish"] Bandoboy, Don't expect any sympathy from this lot! Asking a BeoWorlder to say something nice about a Bang & Olufsen product built after 1990 is a fools errand! Seriously though, I'm a store owner and if I heard you moping about like this I'd tell you to man the eff up. We're a world class luxury

[quote user="Thomas"] Then, this morning I woke up, turned on my Serenata and a whole line of pixels has gone white and no matter what I do (shut phone off, take out battery etc) remains the same. Even if the sub platter is slightly warped it isn't the end of the world. Any of the turntables of the this era (both tangential & radial tracking) plus the Beocenter 2200 share the exact same assembly so finding a donor shouldn't be too difficult. It is also possible to "tweak" your existing one by applying some 2 part epoxy resin

Lee - you're a star Chris.

Can anyone recommend a service centre in Surry (preferably near Kingston Upon Thames) who is capable of doing some work on an overheating Beocenter 7000? The request is from someone I know who lives in that kneck of the woods and made the mistake of trying his local B&O service centre... I don't really need to tell you their response do I? Chris
