It is probably an option problem though I am not sure the 9000 works fully with the 1611. I though this only really was designed to work with the later 9500 and 9300. Try option setting the 9000 to either 1.5 or 2.5 depending on what you have it set at present - Sound 2 store, sound 5 store.

In a word, bass. The two rare 3000s both add controlled low bass to the equation which is lacking in the 4000/8000. B&O decks in my experience have two faults - a slightly veiled top end and a slightly lightweight feel in the bass. The 3000s add the bass - the veiled top end is still there and I think is probably a characteristic of the MMC type

I don't look at eBay that often so don't notice when my pictures do the rounds. I do know my Beomaster 7000 has been sold many times though - sometimes as a Beocord, and a few times as an AV7000! It is actually for sale for real at present at Lifestyle if anyone wants the original!!

I would definitely recommend getting an SP type turntable - but not a 1000. Any of the 3000s are worth a look - the real Beogram one being cheap and a very nice performer when fitted with an SP12. See the other thread!

From a sound point of view, no. I have had several 1000s and they are pleasant simple decks but no more. If you want to add to your collection, I would suggest the following: 1. A Beogram 3000 like mine - you will struggle to find a 12" arm version but Frede can make you an excellent 9" one. This is however a Thorens with a B&O arm so
