You are right. That`s what I was wondering about. I had that PL problem when an MCL2P amp was connected directly to activate passive speakers and not for link room use. But in one of my link rooms I have a BL active with PL outputs connected to a BS 7000 aux inputs, that I`m using as a linksystem, and it works well. So that`s just the same setup as

Yes. I just reread your post. You configured the Beo5 via config. tool. I thought it was the Beovision menu you configured. So I think, Keith can help you - sorry. Stefan

What will MENU - 0 - 5 - GO - STEP UP - GO do? Will that enable BL active/passive to receive/send LIGHT- or LINK LIGHT commands? If so, is there a similar procedure for a BV6, a BL 3500.....? Stefan

If you mean a Beolink active 1611 with "active kit" you will have the same problem, because your problem is not a BS5 problem, it`s a Powerlink problem, and BL active also uses Powerlink. What you would need is a little device that opens the audio outputs of BS5s Powerlink sockets after a delay, triggered by PL PIN 4 (5 V). I`m not a technician

Yes, I thought you were using Powerlink, and that`s causing the plop, what won`t happen if you connect Beolabs to Powerlink, because they will have a little delay in startin up the amplifiers. The resistor simulates an active Beolab, I think. Try the line-out or spdif if your amp can handle digital input. I`m not quite sure, but I think you have to

Welcome to Beoworld. Which outputs are you using on BS5? Line out - spdif - Powerlink? Easy solution: Connect Beolab 5. Stefan

Instead of an update you will need a downgrade to a BS7000 I`m afraid. I had this setup some years ago with an AV9000, BS7000 in the mainroom and MX4000 and MCL2as in link rooms. Linked via Masterlink and converter boxes. LINK LIGHT commands were sent via ML without any problems, even timer controlled light sets from the BS7000. When I replaced the

A lot of BV7 /BS3 owners here are conrolling their "cinemas" with a Lintronic box -238. www.lintronic.dk You can connect the box to your BS3 cinema outputs and trigger your projector, screen, lights, blinds, pop corn machines... just with one button on Beo5: Cinema. Works also with Sanyo. http://www.lintronic.dk/asp/LinTronic_SupportedDevices

Welcome to Beoworld. Sounds as if you did NOT install the IR cable to your stb and assigned it to AV2 ...(?) Stefan
