  • Re: Batman's B&O Setup

The BeoVision 7-40 appears on-screen for quite a length of time at one point - good placement!

  • Re: Can someone tell me how much my beolab 3's are worth.....

Definitely a fantastic present! Generally around £2300 as Peter says, although this does vary a little. Absolutely excellent loudspeakers...

  • Re: Please help me, i want to connect my beolab 3 speakers to my amp.....

The cables are called PowerLink to Line adapters or cables I believe. I used a pair with BeoLab 3s to connect to the pre-outs of one of my Rotels and they work well. The RA-02 has a set of pre-outs (in fact it's an exceptionally well specced amp) which are perfect for driving your BeoLab 3s.

A model number would be helpful, not all amplifiers have variable line-level (called pre-amp) outputs, although virtually all have line outs intended for use with a tape player/CD recorder, but these must not be used as they run at full volume all the time!

  • Re: Lab 5 wiring

No, all the time the BeoLab 5s are running from the SPDIF input, there is no ability to control the tone. This is because the tone controls on the BeoSound 9000/BeoCenter 2 and other systems are sound circuits built into the units themselves. When you connect the BeoLab 5s via SPDIF, they completely bypass all the sound circuitry in other units and

  • Re: A8 headset

Which iPod are you talking about? The latest ones really are rather good actually, although the iPod Touch and the iPhone mk1 don't really perform quite as well. They still sound good though. BeoSounds 2 and 6 are definitely better performers sonically though!

  • Re: Soundstage - speaker placement

The CD player looks like a Rega Apollo - absolutely excellent player... Interesting use of the cubes! Would help to add some height to the soundstage - something I really like about the BeoLab 1s.

  • Re: New partner in Automotive - Mercedes

You say that but the B&O Automotive division has been immensely successful. The A8 system is the best I've heard in a car, and that includes the Mark Levinson system...

  • Re: Beosound 1

The grille can just be removed, and you can get another colour if you wish. Just squeeze the grille a little on either sides, and slide it up. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do, but it's not designed to changed as often as your socks!

  • Re: Digital speaker connection…...from BC2 to BL5

Jitter hasn't been a problem in digital audio for years with even very basic kit. The output from a £20 Alba DVD player is identical to that from any other CD player on the market, even the top-of-the-range NAIM player when it comes to the digital output. Therefore, while some have complained that B&O lacks a 'good enough player in their range for the
