Anyway - first impressions are really good. Anyone who tweaked and turned on their set - please give recommandations or share experiences you have made.
Mine is back with my dealer and I have a new MKIII in it's place. SD is definitely better than on the MKIV. HD is worse though. A HD picture on the MKIV

Even easier than that....use the BeoConnect application on a Mac, connect to the BM5, go to Finder and you should be able to remotely access your BM5's hard drive and delete files, photos and other files from the drive. I did this to delete all those free music tracks B&O add to the BM5. Don't add music tracks this way though; make sure

Since the 10% price increase, I think it's £4000? I might be wrong, but I'm sure it's there or thereabouts. I guess that excludes the cost of the stand. The BV7-40, with stand and speaker, is just under £10K.
I thought I was going to miss the BL7, but the BV8-40 with some Beolab 3 makes the equation complete.
I agree. The BV8-40 represents good value for a B&O TV. You can buy this, plus BL3s, cabinet, a separate Blu-ray player and still have change from the price of a BV7-40! My BV7-40 MKIV has gone back to
Considering the market, I was hoping a minor price difference between the BV 7-40 and the 55" model
I agree, I thought that too - £10000 for the BV7-40 and £11,500 for the 55". Sounds like it's going to more like £13,000+ I'm not sure how they're going to justify that

Sure, if you want a 4.3" TV.
My dealer told me that the 7-55 will be released by the end of summer, the samsung 55" led TV on which the 7-55 is supposed to be based on is out now. I can't understand why this should take so long?
Mate, B&O first 'announced' they were working on a BV7-40 MKIV back in Feb 2008 - it was
what's a firmware update - is it the same thing as software update?
Computers (PCs, Macs) and other devices have software built in to the hardware (ie. BIOS) so that the computer can understant what it should do when you turn it on. When you get your BV7 'software upgraded', effectively it's
why can't bno make tv's like the avant anymore ?
I think that's somewhat unfair Flappo. Irrespective of the costs, the BV4 and BV9 give a superb picture. The BV8-40 is widely reported to exceed most customers expectations, including those who have 'upgraded' from an Avant and the

Unfortunately not Malcolm - there's a thread on this and it might only be on page 2. I think Lee is talking about meeting up with the UK CEO later this year, when there are new products to discuss.
