If the Casco glue, you are talking about, is the black one, I would say go ahead and try it. It doesn't pull lines but I'm not sure it's water based, certainly doesn't smell that way. First make sure that it doesn't attack and/or melt the foam surrounds. (You have a PM). Martin

I've written a lot about this subject and with all that can go wrong I am afraid to sound negative. My main concerns are all the woofers that gets damaged in DIY-attempts. The CX woofers are still available but almost all other 1980's B&O woofers aren't and modern replacements just aren't as good. Everytime I think I've seen

Good job ! Always a pleasure to assist in keeping the older things running. They deserve it. Your last question was already answered. Martin

You stretched the inner lip of the new surrounds to make them fit ? (How on earth did you do that ?) Yes, that's the problem, I'm sure. It's probably just a matter of time before one or more of the other woofers show the same problem too. The foam material needs to be "at rest" when done (and not playing), tension will cause problems

There's only one thing to do with the misaligned woofer - cut the surround and dustcap off, align and refoam again. Sorry but you cannot correct it any other way. It is essential to align the spider/center piece/coil etc. properly before glueing in the new surround as you can read many other places on these forum pages (but not on the suppliers
