  • Re: Cleaning BS5

No alcohol does mean no alcohol. Properly formuated ar cleaners use alcohol as an agent to facilitate uniform drying, which helps reduce streaking. No straight alcohol. As far as cleaners, the lack of knowledge as to just how much alcohol is in any cleaner is the reason behing beocare's mild detergent recommendation. Adequate, but not the best you

  • Re: New Catalogue is online now!

On the Beolab 9 page, the LR set-up shows something impossible: A Beocenter 2 on a cocktail table...with no wires coming from it or along the floor to the wall. REEEEDICULOUS! B

To clean the glass of the BS5: DO NOT USE ALCOHOL! DO NOT USE PAPER (Towel) or TISSUE! You must only use a clean, soft, hi-grade microfiber (a good one from an eyeglass shop!), and the proper (but mudt be mild) anti-reflection cleaner. Clarity brand from Nanofilm is good FWIW Barry

  • Re: Beolab 4 - owners/listeners comments

I LUV my Beolab 4's in my LR surround set up: They are *very* closely placed near ends of the sectional sofa, and are the "sides". In my 7.1 set up, I have: BV9 Penta IIs Beolabs 4s on stands Beolab 6000 rears ( a 5 feet back of the sofa) Work's wonderfully! B

  • Re: New products

I dont really care if the BS4 departs from the BS3 in the back of my BV9. if my TV would significantly benefit from the upgrade, I'll just hang it out back, courtesy of STB. B

  • Re: Finally got my BV9, now I have some questions

Q: for Lee, re the above: Would having the AST upgrade in his BV9/BS3 help with the Beolab 1's less than ideal separation? B

  • Re: Finally got my BV9, now I have some questions

In the Option menu, under Sound, the default audio setting is set to Speaker 5, and you could change this to Speaker 1,2, or 3. The BS3 sound processing is converting any sound into a Dolby compatible surround matrix. Speaker 5 is what my BV 9 is set to, even though I have 7 speakers. Enjoy! B

  • Beoconnect W7 64bit compliant?

I tried to install and connect to my beomedia, but it would not accept my pswd. Beocare said its only for 32 bit W7, not 64 bit. Can anyone confirm, or give me a hint what's wrong? Thanx B
