Do you have a fixed IP address for the BM5 or does your DNS server regularly reassign a newIP?
-
but now you're struck with a file that only plays with Foobar?
No with a plug-in you can play AND rip de SACD-iso into WAV or FLAC (there are SACD-iso's around .....)
I didn't know that it was possible to rip the DSD layer of a SACD... What software (and maybe hardware) do you use to do that?
it is tricky because you must have a PS3 from the first generation (SACD capable) AND the firmware must be <=3.55 see this site for the sw: http://code.google.com/p/sacd-ripper/
you won't (easily) find any Studio Masters cd's on the market...that's why Qobuz is a Great alternative.
for sure this will be the future. But for now an alternative is ripping DVD (Video / Audio), ripping Blurays and even ripping the DSD layer of a SACD. I already have a collection of about 1200
These things should come out of the factory disabled.
If it is factory disabled it would be a very interesting device to fall of a truck! but for sure your dealer should know better.
Hello! I have a question concerning those blue lines/marks/signs in front of an album...sorry but I haven't found anything about it in my operating manual... Does it show something about MOTS? I'm using the BS5/BM5 combo for about a year and there are still many albums without those "signs" - no idea
Hi guys, More than lossless, Qobuz make it possible to buy albums in a Studio Masters quality too. Thanks again Marc for making me discover this website, now I don't buy music from iTunes anymore Cheers,
I never understood the iTunes hype, anyway. For some Euro's/Dollars more one could/can buy the CD

use mp3tag (see www.mp3tag.de) easy and exellent tool to add and modify one file or one album etc. You can download tag info from several sources to adjust or complete to your wishes. Advice: choose a way how to store files and the way you want the tags to be. Than stick to it. Then it will be coherent in the BS5.
-
WAV doesn't support tag's Just copy FLAC files with finder to the BM5 To copy files directly: 1.start BeoConnect and make a connection with the BS5/BM5. 2.go to Finder 3.make a connection with the BM5; if fails then make a connection as BEOMASTER5\BM-USER (note: your system can also be named "BEOMASTER 5"; you should look it up in

it doesn't to be Twonky installed on the server. The server should be at least working with the DLNA and/or UPNP standards though.
