  • Re: Beosound 3 earthing.... through me??

Hmmm, Well, could well be some sort of 'earth leakage' then, so if it worries you, and you don't like being zapped I'd take it in for service. As I said, I've never experienced it with my systems. Laurence.

Hi Luke, I don't think you should be getting 'zaps' from your system caused by electrical current charging the casing. Neither of mine including power link speakers have this problem. That said, as you say this is 'zaps' and Dave has the same issue (and living in dry S. Aus) could this be static electricity build up, from say walking

  • Re: How NOT to present a Beovision plasma!

I agree I think we need to be factual when making generalisations. I have lived for many years in SE asia and I am not about to pretend to know what the earning power of the average consumer is in its many varied cities, but I would like to offer my thoughts on the following. 1. Firstly whoever was responsible for the DVD in this KL store should be

  • Re: Poor Sound Quality from S120.2 Speakers!!!

Hi Jeff, Have to agree with the others and have a look at your crossovers. When I first got my current S80s, I found that with certain 'bassy' tracks that the speakers took on a boomy character and while obviously not as disturbing as you have described I decided to check out my cross overs and found that they were the original capacitors. After

  • Re: iBook G4 and B&O

Hi Diggs, Your welcome, but I must say that most of what I know has been picked up from the other very knowledgable members. This really is a fantastic resource.. 1. OK as this is quite simple to set up so you can try it out first... however I was thinking that maybe you should have another look at appletv as you could also stream your video (and audio

  • Re: iBook G4 and B&O

Hi Diggs, I'm by no means an expert here, but I'll do my best to help.....so any one who is more proficient please do correct me if I am leading Diggs astray! 1. You should be able to connect your BS1 using an airport express base station as per the following link to stream music. My setup is quite simple as its just 2 audio systems and I currently

Hi Diggs, You should have no problem connecting the G4 to your system. I have a G4 powerbook which I use for my itunes, its connected wirelessly to the sound systems using airport base stations. I then control itunes using the Iphone (with iremote from Apple). Ultimately, you may need to get an external drive to store you source music on, as I know

  • Re: More white stuff landing...

Hi Mika, Nice collection! The white will have definitely changed, as the finish is a lacquer (basically a spray paint finish), the paint will 'yellow' with age especially if it was an oil based paint, this is normal... For instance i have some series 7 chairs at home in white (well at least when I bought them) they are over 10 years now and

  • Re: Rebuilding Beomaster 8000 Displays

Hi Derek and Martin, Thanks for both your replies... obviously from what you both say, this job is not for everyone, I guess I'm just trying to understand from both of you the complexity, for both my own reference and of course the many beoworlders out there who may have units suffering from this... to determine the options available... Derek, just
