Hi, I have just purchased a PS3 to act as my HD DVD player, setting it up as VAUX and connecting to the BS3 by HDMI, everything works fine, but the rear speakers don't automatically kick in when playing a DVD, any ideas please ?
You need to change the output formats from the PS3, to just include Dolby Digital

beofreeman: Hi, I have read a few Playstation related posts but could not find one which addresses my issue so any help would be greatly achieved. I am trying to hook up my Playstaion 3 to my Beosystem 2. Apparantly there is an issue with the FW 1.40 and the 3rd party XML files, we are looking into it right now. In the meantime, people who upgrade to tool 2.20 and fw 1.40, will NOT be able to use the XML files

Alex: Nonsense. If the BeoVision works fine for gordongofer at the moment, then there's absolutely no reason to update the software. The TV will need to be connected by HDMI and Scart. The Scart will supply the image to be piped round the house. Set the Sky box to 1080 - the BBC have now started broadcasting in 1080p which is a big step up from

gordongofer: I have a BV7 MKIII and have just added Sky. My BV software is edition 3 point something. What do people think I should set the sky box to on its output...1080 or Auto? Do I need to plug in the coax sound for 5.1? And what should I set the TV sound to be? If I ditch the scart, will I still be able to see the output on my link TVs? thanks
