I'm aware of that Søren but because of my 40 years experience as a "technician" (as you are) I'm pretty convinced of myself that this will last. On the other hand, I wonder how B&O did their test considering the fact that so many people are stucked with broken glasses
Yes - B&O
Only thing i don't like with plasma is price and they also 'burn out', or the first plasma's teli did. Is this still a isue with new plasme tehnology?
The price..? The new plasma's are not very expensive (except B&O's) You can actually get a 42" plasma in Denmark for around 4000,
Maybe someone else could give me/us a better explanation why paying that much for a (customized) license plate?
I guess there is no good explanation -except that some people obviously have so much money, that they don't know what to do with them...Why would anyone pay millions for a coin -or a stamp -or a
' here in the UK you cannot give these TV's away' Why can't you give them away, are there some kind of protection?
I guess what he means is, that nobody wants them anymore...
always better pictures on tubes
I also used to think so - and it was true earlier. But

I don't know where you live -but I guess that you can buy a fully functional BV 3 cheaper than spending that amount of money on a repair. Here in Denmark these Beovision 3's are sold as cheap as 1000-1500 DKKr (200-300$).

The seller has obviously chosen the easy way to hide some bad scratches - buy a can of "stone effect" paint. If you want to paint them with a glossy paint, the surface must be smooth, which can require a lot of work -you have to sand the surface and then paint, etc. I once bought a set of badly damaged alu C 30's with lots of scratches
