I did leave the front as-is on mine, only cleaned it up a bit, so the letters are still there. Wouldn't loose any sleep over it if they were gone, though.... they're hardly noticeable.

Though beocords have their merits, I do not think they should necessarily be saved as such. Just like the old reel to reel players , how many of them are actually in dialy use? The beocords are easily available and most of them are still in working (ok..maybe needing new belts) order. I still have a beocord 7000 and there is one in my ouverture....

Money plays a roll, off course, when buying new B&O Lack of a decent priced B&O tv (BV8-40 or BV10) in North America ... so I'll stick with my Kuro for a while longer I guess. I live in a factory to loft conversion and my floors are all wood on wooden beams etc. Anything with a down firing bass (like BL5) is definitely a no go .... and yes I do have neighbours up and downstairs. I did try BL8000 (works fine) but the best results I had was with wall-mounted speakers (BL4000). I did not try the BL9, but I think they will sound

I did repolish alu CX's. They do have a sort of protective coating on it, Depending on how much work you want to invest in order to refinish them you can either -just use metal polish .... and just keep polishing. The protective coating will come off. the stripes will stay. - If they are in too bad a shape (like mine were with big scrapes and deep
