  • Re: Beomaster 6000 4ch

Yes it's worth repairing. It sound really good although I haven't done much to it yet. I have just changed the larger caps, power supply (leaking) and the four output caps. New belts for the vol,bal etc indicators installed (I got them with it when I bought it ). Next I'm going to bring the final stages out and overhaul them with new caps

Hi Derek Tried to take a photo of the damage, but it was hard to see anything picture. Guess my camera isn't good att close distance or I'm a bad photographer (more the latter). Had the same problem with the close details of the beogram6002 thread about the hinges. Yes it is a nice piece of machinery, heavy and packed with electronics and mechanics

  • Re: mounting system for the beosystem 4500

Hi If you wall mount your system take it as a good routine to check the glasspanels now and then. It has happened that the glue gets weak with time and the panel can fall off in worst case. Normally it's no problem - but it's good to know. /Fredrik

Yes, individual adjustments is best - like bm8000 have. It is of course possible and easy to make a little box with individual attenuators and/or amplifiers in it to compensate for diffenent signal levels. I use the 4500 system as main system in the living room. Then I have the 6000 system in the "vinyl" room. I have recently restored the

Thanx Martin I'll try to remove the old coating by polishing it. There is a local company here that put sun-film on car windows - I think they can help me to find a suitale film and apply it without bubbles (i'm no good at that ). Think it's hard to use a spray to get an even layer. Film must be better. In worst case I can always remove

Hi I don't think the signal level itself is to blame for the lack of warmth and bass - that's more likely to be the characteristics of the player. Players sound different when compared to eachother. Line level is if I'm right 0.775v at 0db. I've also noticed that equipment differ quite alot between brands and/or models. I don't know
