  • Re: Beomaster 800 Lamps

Yes.... your right as usual. I had a closer look at the service manual. The diodes in parallel with the lamps was confusing me! Do you supply these lamps Martin? Thanks, Ben.

  • Beomaster 800 Lamps

I just bought an apparently mint 800. Supposedly works great apart from both tuning lamps are out. By my reckoning, looking at the service manual, these are LED's, so not very likely to burn out. I haven't got the unit yet, so cant tinker. Has anybody had this problem before? Regards, Ben.

  • Re: what size is the plug of a Beocenter 9000 relay socket?

If this kit is no good for Roy, i'd be interested if its still available. I'm using external power amps on my Beomaster 5000, and was thinking this would save me having to power them up and down seperately. Thanks, Ben

I might be interested in this kit if it works with a Beomaster 5000. Please let me know. Cheers, Ben.

  • Re: white cx-100 speakers with gold stripes?

My white CX100's have what look to be two strips of plastic film along the sides, which appear to be slightly yellow and more glossy than the finish of the rest of the speaker. From memory, my white CX50 dont have the yellow, but they are packed away, so cant check. Cheers.

  • Re: Refoaming Beovox M75

I modified the surround by slicing a section out of it, and glueing it back together, creating the correct diameter. This was about 10 years ago, and not many different sizes of surround were easily available back then. Maybe you can find one that fits perfectly these days. I shimmed the woofer and 'phase link' units, but if i was doing it again

  • Re: Refoaming Beovox M75

I think there must either be a discrepancy in the specification, or there were different versions of the M75 with a 12.5cm unit. Mine also measure smaller. I refoamed mine with a 4.5" foam surround modified to fit. I cant remember where I got the surrounds for the M75, but i've used www.speakerbits.com and www.newfoam.com in the past on other

  • Re: BV8 PAL versus RGB

I can't agree with you more on this subject. Its like night and day in comparison. I only ever use the composite (PAL) signal now as a last resort. Its RGB all the way for me! Even S- Video is poor compared to RGB. You'll be impressed with the difference. My friend was going to buy a new TV because of the poor picture. I changed his Sky box

  • Re: cd 50 doesn't play

Sounds like the old spindle motor problem. Did you let the unit get up to room temperature first? If it still doesnt work, you'll have to take the motor apart, clean the old lube, and reapply fresh. I used '3 in 1' oil on mine, and its been fine for over two years now. Cheers, Ben.

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 and Beolink 1000

I sent Tim a PM over on the Beocentral forum. Does nobody visit that forum anymore? its vey quiet! I was thinking a that Terminal 5000 would be easier, but even the ergonomics of that leave alot to be desired, and i'd be frightened of dropping or scratching it. Does the Beomaster 5000 use an odd IR code like the newer B&O equipment? What I mean
