Hi all: You may remember that some time ago (over a year) the VHS in my Avant died. I went to London and took a spare one out of a scrap Avant. Didn't get round to installing it. Was going to do it this week. Anyway the Avant is in the lounge and I don't use it too much or pay attention to it. When the VHS died a tape got stuck in it and I couldn't

Hi: Possibly, I hadn't been on thier site for a while, the TVs are probably a new(ish) thing. My dealings with Mermaid only extend to me seeing a monitor at a friend's, him saying its a Mermaid, me going on the site a couple of times to see them and then scoring eBay for a couple of years till I found one. There are now quite a few monitors

Hi everyone: It was a false alarm apparently (prob a Windows thing) the computer wasn't recognising the monitor when I unplugged my old one and swapped it for th new one when Windows was running. I think it may be dead even though it

No, nothing happens it is dead Someone told me the PSUs can be poor so perhaps (hopefuly) this is where the problem lies otherwise I have an expensive yet heavy paper weight

Hi all: I have finally got hold of my Mermaid Monitor (imported from Germany). It was packed very well and there are no signs of physical damage. That said, when connected to the compter and powered up it appears dead. The power supply hums if I put my head next to it and listen, however, no image is output to the screen. I am wondering if I am doing

Hi: I had thought through the idea you were suggesting with the wireless video senders - that would work if I only wanted to output one desktop image but as I want different desktop images I would need multiple graphics cards and then multiple video senders. As there is only four channels per sender and there is some overlap re signal, there would probably

Yep it was the silver one on this page - it all makes sense now!

Yeah it looked like the 2000 or that particular picture of it although the dial at the very least was brushed aluminium. Should I have bought it for £70 or not worth it?
