Is the Beosound 1 to be discontinued? Somewere in this forum I've read this, I would be surprised as this is in my view a B&o classic-to-be and a very good radio. Strange that the outdated Beolab 8000 gets a new life as the beolab 8002 and this radio-cd player which is more recent would be stopped. Anyway, if it's true, I will buy one before

Ook Correct Electronics in Rotterdam is gestopt met de verkoop van B&o. Heeft zeker te maken met het feit dat B&o zich richt op zgn B1 stores, en af wil van de shop-in-shops.

The Beosound 3 looks very much like the late Twin Towers/WTC in New York, a similarity that crossed my mind when confronted once again with the horrific scenes of 2001, yesterday. Anyone had the same thought?

Are there any new beolab speakers to be expected? Looking at he present range of speakers the price-differences are huge between the lab 3, and 5. Especially between the 3 and 9 the gap for potential customers is large.

From this century; Beosound 1, another timeless design, well-made and very musical machine, a pleasure to listen to every time I turn it on. A8 headphones, same qualities as described above.

As with most B&o the beosound 9000 is a piece of art, comparable with famous contemporary furniture (Oh, that's a painfull remark in audiophile-country), and as such should not be stopped! It should in stead be technically updated. Same story with the beocenter 2, timeless classic, make it blueray. Simply unbelievable that B&o doesn't

Thinking of a socalled recap of my Beovox S45-2's, I wondered if any new comparable capacitor will be an upgrade, or is it worth searching for a special brand/ sort of capacitor?

Interesting discussion about the (asumed) second best speaker form B&o, hopefully mr Moulton will share his opinion on this subject, perhaps he's returned from Texas? The beolab 9 has been very positively reviewed by independent magazines (what hifi), but there seems to be some dissatisfaction among some here.

Dave: Anything under the Deutche Grammaphon label is good if you like classical music I disagree; some CD's using a technique called "original bit imaging/processing, for more clarity, etc" are harsh to listen to, talking about to much treble... A shame for a company like DGG.

Bu to be fair on the cd70000, it has a better defined sound, more clear and perhaps therefore lacks a bit of warmth. Difficult subject, music!
