I got a Beosound Century floor sample for cheap since it was all I could afford at the time. I sold it for more than I bought it for 8 years later.
Although the App is working fine, LinkPlayer on the Mac tends to crash when used with the App. I have not had the time to fix this bug which is quite hard to replicate. Also, I have sent the app to 4 people, but there seems to be a problem of code signature and they were not able to install.
It might need

Anything new with the iPhone app? Or maybe an iPad app?

And in this world, Apple buys B&O. Then they do this to the TVs: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/10/03/23/apple_positioned_to_introduce_connected_hdtv_within_2_4_years.html And then everything has the look and the physical quality of B&O and the general usefulness and software quality of Apple. A BV that does everything connected to a Mini

Too bad you can't use a a BS5 as the front end for a Mini or an AppleTV.
The Apple TV synchronises with your main Mac's iTunes and iPhoto. The mac mini wouldn't, so you have to manage your media library manually. p.
It's a Mac Mini. Just put everything on it and you're set.
It would seem that even an older second-hand or refurbished mac mini would be a much better value than the Apple TV. Is there any downside to that? Also, it seems that you would solve a lot of the limitations of the Apple TV that way.
If you're a tad computer savvy then a Mini is the way to go. Put Plex
You are probably right. For $10,000, most Americans would buy the system you described. However $10,000 won't buy much at the B&O store.
$10k would get you the quintessential B&O system: BS3200 and BL6000 (maybe even BL8000, not sure). Or it'll get you the NAD C-785 surround receiver, NAD C545
When it comes to if B&O is cheaper or not, it is not that different if you take out sales tax and ignore short term excessive currency fluctuations.
Why would I want to do that? Sales tax in Germany is twice what it is in California, everyone I know back in San Francisco makes more than everyone I know in

I'm going to go ahead and stick with the comment I made about Euros having generally better aesthetic taste than Americans. Find a few middle class (like low level white collar cubicle dwellers) Americans and Europeans and ask them what they'd buy for A/V (or just A) if they had, say, $10,000 and it had to fit in their living room. The Americans
