  • Re: BeoPlayer - Do you use it?

Sorry to say I also don't like BeoPlayer, don't think it even lasted 2 days on my machine. I really hate the way it also slides in/out, reminds me too much of the old MS Office sidebar thing, the whole interface just looks so, erm, 80s (ie old & dated). At the moment I think iTunes is just perfect, especially with coverflow, and now that

Hmmm a bit bigger picture, and they still look a tad odd. Hopefully they will release something ( anything ) soon, cause the HD in mine is playing up, and I keep having to drop it to get it to work. Roll on mid-september...

  • Re: Beolab 8000 or Beolab 9 - with B7

I currently have the BL8s & a BL2 with the BV7, if I was to change these for the BL9s: 1. Should I then think about getting rid of the BL2. 2. The BV7 has the BL7-2 (no BL7-4 because it's on a table stand), so would the sound be OK, with a mix of ALT and Non ALT speakers. JoC

  • Re: NEVER POSTED BEFORE?

Well I must send a BIG thanks to Lee & the BeoWorld crew. Having waited for so long to register and finally doing so, I arrive home from work today and find a gift of the B&O produced music CD "Open Mind" waiting for me. Very Cool. Thanks again for the special welcome. JoC

  • Re: BV9 - Soon arriving to ....mr anders(son)

I was just saying, if HDCP content is passed through the BS3 (from a source like HD-DVD/BluRay) and is needed by the projector, then DVI->HDMI is the only option as VGA can't carry the HDCP singnal. I would like to think DVI->HDMI would be the better picture as the signal is all digital. JoC

  • Re: BV9 - Soon arriving to ....mr anders(son)

I would like to think you would use a projector with DVI/HDMI inputs, that way if you input HD-DVD/BluRay content into the BS3 it would be able to pass the HDCP onto to the projector - future proof and all that...

  • Re: Beolab 8000 or Beolab 9 - with B7

I had the BeoLab 8000's and a BeoLab 2 when I decided to buy the BeoVision 7, I had to go with the BeoLab 7-2 as the TV was on the table stand. This setup actually sounds quite good, but if you are to go with the BeoLab 7-4, I would suggest you make the 2 front speakers the BeoLab 9's. In the future I would like to replace my BeoLab 8000's
